# Follow tools

> How to follow tools, plan limits, and unfollowing.

Following a tool tells Relnx to track its releases and notify you. Notifications
go out only for tools you've explicitly followed — the rest is for browsing.

## Follow

1. Open **Tools** in the top nav.
2. Find the tool (search by name; URL slugs use lowercase + hyphens, e.g.
   `ingress-nginx`).
3. Click **Follow** on the tool's page.

A new release for that tool will land in your next notification.

## Plan limits

| Plan                 | Max followed tools |
| -------------------- | ------------------ |
| Starter (free)       | 3                  |
| Pro (\$1.99/mo)      | unlimited          |
| Enterprise (\$10/mo) | unlimited          |

The limit is enforced both in the app and at the database level — there's no
way to slip past it. When you hit it, the **Follow** button is disabled with
an upgrade prompt. Unfollow any tool to free a slot.

## Unfollow

1. Open the tool's page, or the **My Tools** view on your dashboard.
2. Click **Unfollow**.

Your historical engagement (likes, comments, progress) on that tool's features
is preserved.

If something is missing:

* **Free/Starter/Pro users**: open a support ticket or
  [request a tool](https://www.relnx.io/request-tool).
* **Enterprise users**: add it as a [custom tool](./bring-your-own-tool)
  on your organisation — open-source or internal repos both work.
