# Set up email notifications

> Turn on email, control what arrives, mute per tool, opt out.

Email notifications are included on **every plan**, including the free Starter.
This guide covers turning them on, controlling what arrives, and opting out.

## Turn them on

1. **Settings → Notifications**.
2. Enable **Email notifications**.
3. Confirm your email address is verified (Settings → Account).

You'll receive a **consolidated email** when any tool you follow ships a new
release in a sync window — one email per user per sync, not one per release.

## What's in the email

* The tool name and new version, linking to the Relnx release page.
* A summary line: number of features, breaking changes, security fixes,
  deprecations.
* One-click acknowledgement (Enterprise; see
  [organisations](./manage-org)).

## Sync schedule

Relnx syncs releases **twice a day**: 06:00 and 18:00 UTC+8 (22:00 and 10:00
UTC). If a tool ships a release between syncs, you'll hear about it at the
next sync — typically within \~12 hours of the upstream release.

## Per-tool muting

Don't want notifications for one specific tool but still want to keep following
it (for the dashboard)?

1. Open the tool's page.
2. Click **Mute notifications** next to **Following**.

The tool stays in your followed list but its releases skip your emails.

## Opt out completely

* Toggle **Email notifications** off in Settings.
* Or click **Unsubscribe** at the bottom of any release email.

Both routes only stop *release* emails; account-critical mail (password reset,
billing) is always delivered.

## Tips

* If emails aren't arriving, check spam first, then verify your email address
  in Settings → Account.
* Email goes out from `noreply@relnx.io` via Brevo — allowlist it in your
  email provider if you're behind a corporate filter.
